Overview

Dent Repairs, done properly,
done on your driveway.

A clear explanation of what dent repairs covers, who it suits, when to book it, and why the choice of technician matters more than the price on a leaflet.

What it is

Dent repair covers everything from small door-edge dings through supermarket-trolley dents to larger creases and hail damage. Wherever possible we use Paintless Dent Removal (PDR), preserving your factory paint. Where the paint is broken or the dent is too sharp, we fill and refinish only the affected area.

Who it's for

Any driver with a visible dent, from a single door-ding earned in a car park through to multiple hail dents across a bonnet. Also insurers, fleets and dealerships preparing vehicles for sale.

When you need it

Book a repair as soon as the damage appears. Fresh dents typically pop back more cleanly than older ones because the metal has not yet work-hardened around the impact.

Why it matters

Paintless dent removal is invisible when done correctly, no filler, no repaint, no risk of colour drift over time. It also preserves your car's original factory paint, which is the single biggest factor in long-term corrosion resistance and resale value.

Why it can't wait

What happens when
dent repairs are ignored.

Dents rarely look serious when they first appear, and drivers often leave them for months. Two things then happen, both of them expensive.

Where the paint has cracked, water and salt reach bare metal, corrosion starts and spreads under sound paint elsewhere on the panel.

The metal work-hardens over time. A dent that would have popped out easily in the first week may need filler and refinish six months later.

Multiple small dents (car park, hail, trolleys) accumulate quickly and pull thousands off a trade-in valuation, even when the car is otherwise perfect.

Attempting DIY suction pullers or heat tricks often stretches the metal past the point of clean removal, forcing a full refinish where PDR would have been invisible.

Our process

How a dent repair
job actually runs.

A clear, repeatable process for every job, so you know exactly what happens and when, from the moment you send us photos to the moment we hand the vehicle back.

01

Photo assessment

Send close-up photos of the dent from two angles plus one wider shot. We assess whether PDR is viable and give a firm fixed price.

02

Access & preparation

For PDR we identify access points behind the panel | often removing trim, lights or an interior card. Where access is limited we use glue-pulling from the front.

03

Paintless dent removal

The dent is pushed out gradually using specialist rods, working the metal back to its original shape from behind. Progress is checked under a striped reflector board that shows any remaining distortion.

04

Fill & refinish (if needed)

Where the paint is cracked or the dent is too sharp for PDR, the localised area is filled, sanded, primed and refinished in your colour code | same process as our SMART repair.

05

Sign-off & guarantee

You inspect the finished panel with the technician before payment. The repair is logged against a lifetime workmanship guarantee.

Benefits

What you actually get
when you book with us.

Factory paint preserved

Successful PDR means your original paint stays exactly as the manufacturer sprayed it | the best possible long-term finish.

Usually same-day

Single dents are typically repaired in two to four hours on-site. Multiple dents or hail damage may need a longer visit.

Invisible finish

Correctly executed PDR leaves no evidence of the dent | no shadow, no touch-up, no shade change.

Cheaper than refinishing

PDR is significantly cheaper than filling and repainting the same panel, because there's no paintwork involved.

Better resale value

Preserved factory paint reads immediately to inspectors and buyers as an untouched panel.

Lifetime workmanship cover

Backed for as long as you own the vehicle (rust excluded).

Depth of service

The detail behind
the finish.

PDR is a skilled craft, the difference between a good result and a poor one is almost entirely in the technician's hands. Here's how we choose the right method for each dent.

Push-from-behind PDR

The gold-standard technique. Rods are used through access points behind the panel to raise the metal gradually from the lowest point outwards, checked under a striped reflector board.

Glue-pulling PDR

Where access from behind is impossible (bonded panels, structural areas), we use a temporary glue-tab on the front of the dent to lift the metal, then clean the residue with no impact on the paint.

Filled repairs

When the paint has cracked or the dent has a sharp crease, we use a localised fill-and-refinish process, the same as our SMART repair, to restore the panel to a factory-matched finish.

Hail damage

Multiple small dents across a bonnet, roof or boot are worked systematically. Insurance-referred hail work is priced and documented for the insurer directly.

Aluminium panels

Modern high-strength aluminium panels behave differently to steel and require a different technique, one our technicians are trained in.

Vans, EVs and larger vehicles

Vans and EVs are handled by technicians trained on those vehicle types, including panel-access considerations for battery packs and camper conversions.
