Overview

New Panel Fitting, done properly,
done on your driveway.

A clear explanation of what panel fitting covers, who it suits, when to book it, and why the choice of technician matters more than the price on a leaflet.

What it is

Panel replacement is the correct choice when a body panel is torn, folded, corroded through, or so heavily damaged that repairing it would cost more than fitting a new one. We handle the full job, sourcing the panel, colour-matching the paint, prepping the vehicle and fitting it, at your chosen location.

Who it's for

Panel fitting suits owners of vehicles hit in the car park, insurance-referred repairs after a collision, fleet vehicles pulled off the road by a single damaged panel, and dealerships preparing higher-value stock for the forecourt.

When you need it

Panels need replacement when the metal is folded past the point of straightening, when a plastic bumper is torn beyond the reach of plastic welding, or when hidden corrosion has compromised the panel's structure. If a SMART repair or dent removal would leave visible distortion, replacement is the right call.

Why it matters

Fitting the correct OEM or OEM-equivalent panel means the vehicle keeps its original panel gaps, crash structure and paint finish. A poorly-fitted panel produces uneven shut lines, wind noise and future corrosion around the seams, problems that follow the car for the rest of its life.

Why it can't wait

What happens when
panel fitting are ignored.

Delaying a panel replacement rarely saves money. What looks like a manageable dent or crack usually gets worse in the background, and often takes surrounding parts down with it.

Bent panels flex every time the door is closed or the vehicle goes over a bump, cracked paint quickly turns into rust that spreads under adjacent panels.

Torn bumper covers stop supporting the parking sensors, cameras and impact absorbers behind them, leading to false warnings and failed sensor calibration.

Misaligned panels leak water into the boot, footwells and door cavities, a leak you often only discover once the electrics start failing.

Insurance claims tend to be settled less favourably once secondary damage has appeared, because insurers argue the delay contributed.

Our process

How a panel fitting
job actually runs.

A clear, repeatable process for every job, so you know exactly what happens and when, from the moment you send us photos to the moment we hand the vehicle back.

01

Photo assessment & VIN check

Send photos of the damage and your registration or VIN. We identify the correct panel variant (some models share a bodyshell but ship with different panel pressings) and price the job as a fixed quote.

02

Panel sourcing

We source the replacement panel | OEM where available, high-quality equivalent where not | and arrange delivery to us. Delays out of our control (parts on back-order) are always flagged to you first.

03

Off-vehicle paint prep

The new panel is prepped, primed, base-coated and cleared in the correct colour before it ever reaches the car | meaning less exposed paint on your driveway and a stronger, more durable finish.

04

On-site fitting

We remove the damaged panel, transfer any brackets, sensors or trim, fit the new panel to factory alignment specs, and check shut lines, sensor operation and door seals.

05

Blend, polish & sign-off

Where colour blending is needed on adjacent panels for a perfect match, that work is completed on-site. You inspect the finished result before payment.

Benefits

What you actually get
when you book with us.

Original panel geometry restored

Correctly-fitted OEM panels keep your factory shut lines, sealing and crash performance intact.

Painted off the vehicle

A cleaner, harder finish than spraying an already-mounted panel | and less overspray risk for the rest of the car.

No workshop downtime

Everything happens at your address on a scheduled day, rather than waiting weeks in a bodyshop queue.

Insurance-ready

Detailed VAT invoices and photo records make direct insurance settlements straightforward.

Full lifetime guarantee

Workmanship on the fit and finish is covered for as long as you own the vehicle (excluding rust).

Sensor & camera aware

Parking sensors, blind-spot radar and camera housings are transferred, refitted and checked as part of the fit.

Depth of service

The detail behind
the finish.

Panel fitting is not a one-size job. The right approach depends on the panel type, the vehicle age, and whether the surrounding paint is still original.

Doors, wings & bonnets

Bolt-on panels are the most straightforward, the challenge is colour-matching to a car that may have faded in the sun and getting the shut lines perfectly even so the eye reads the panel as original.

Bumpers & bumper covers

Modern bumper covers house sensors, cameras and impact-absorbing crash bars. We source the correct variant for your trim level and transfer or replace those components as needed.

Quarter panels & structural sections

These are welded rather than bolted. Structural welds are outside the scope of mobile work and are booked into a partner facility where appropriate.

OEM vs equivalent parts

We recommend OEM parts wherever available. High-quality equivalents are only used where the OEM part is unavailable, on back-order beyond a reasonable timeline, or where the cost saving materially benefits you. You are always told which is which before we order.

Colour matching on faded paint

Cars over three or four years old often have paint that has drifted from its factory code. We colour-check against your existing panels and adjust the mix so the new panel reads as original, not as a fresh patch.

Insurance & fleet workflows

For insurance-authorised work we deal directly with the insurer's claim number. For fleet accounts we can arrange out-of-hours fitting to keep the vehicle earning.
